Systems Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer on a Permanent basis supporting one of the UK’s largest and most exciting infrastructure projects, working hybrid out of London,

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project requirements are effectively captured, managed, verified and delivered throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders, you will help ensure technical compliance while supporting the successful transition and completion of complex railway infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture, develop and maintain project requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Ensure requirements are traceable from definition through to verification and validation.
• Support systems engineering and requirements management activities across multiple disciplines.
• Work collaboratively with design teams, project managers and client stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are fully understood and delivered.
• Identify and manage requirements-related risks and issues.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports.
• Support assurance, compliance and project governance activities.
• Contribute to successful project handover, completion and transition activities.

About You

We’re looking for candidates with:

• Experience in requirements management or systems engineering within major infrastructure, rail, transport or similar complex engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle and requirements traceability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex technical information and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Experience using requirements management tools would be advantageous.
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
• Working towards or holding professional registration with a recognised engineering institution is desirable.
