Senior Quantity Surveyor

*Candidates must be British nationals and be able to gain both BPSS and SC Clearance*

• Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Location: Govan 5 days per week
• Rate: £500 - £550 p/d

Our client is a leading engineering and design consultancy who require a Senior QS to join their team based onsite at BAE Govan Shipyard.

Responsibilities:

• Contract Administration
• Early Warning review/ response as instructed by Contract Manager
• Compensation Event Notification responses including reviewing entitlement, estimating cost impacts
• Chairing commercial meetings set up to review Compensation Events/ payment certification collectively
• Reviewing, assessing and implementing all Compensation Events (via CEMAR Contract Admin tool)
• Responsible for assessing the Contractors interim Application for Payment and certifying payment
• On-site measurement of works complete (including review of plant and equipment on-site)
• Leading on assessing the impact of revised accepted Programmes
• Submit monthly accrual figures to BAE finance
• Maintain, update and issue monthly forecasts to BAE finance
• Identify trends and forward costs pressure to the Contracts Manager for the internal reporting purposes

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional membership or working toward chartered status with a recognized body (e.g., MRICS, CIOB, AIQS, SACQSP, or an equivalent professional institution
• 7–10+ years of quantity surveying experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior role.
• Strong NEC experience is essential
• CEMAR fluency
