The GNF-A Outage Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and oversight of scheduled GNF-A maintenance outages. This role bridges the operational gap between the FCO (Fuel Component Operations) and FMO (Fuel Manufacturing Operations), ensuring that maintenance, upgrades, and inspections are synchronized, resource-efficient, and fully compliant with nuclear industry safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Synchronization: Act as the primary interface between FCO and FMO leadership. Align maintenance windows to minimize production impact and optimize shared utility/infrastructure downtime.
• Resource & Contractor Alignment: Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of internal maintenance teams and third-party contractors. Ensure contractors are vetted, briefed on site-specific nuclear safety protocols, and integrated into the daily work schedule.
• Integrated Scheduling: Develop and maintain a master outage schedule using Primavera P6/MS Project that accounts for complex dependencies between FCO and FMO workflows.
• Logistical Oversight: Manage the staging of spare parts, specialized tooling, and heavy equipment, ensuring materials are on-site and inspected prior to the start of the outage.

  Required Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

• Scheduling Software: Expert proficiency in Software similar to Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is mandatory for critical path management and resource leveling.
• Work Management Systems (WMS): Advanced experience with CMMS Similar to SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) or Oracle manage work orders to track equipment history, and handle material requisitions.
• Data Reporting: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and dashboard creation) for tracking outage KPIs and reporting progress to stakeholders.
• CAD/Documentation: Ability to interpret and reference technical drawings and P&IDs within document control systems.

  Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical/operational experience.
• Nuclear Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in a regulated nuclear or highly hazardous and regulated manufacturing environment.
• Fitness for Duty (FFD): Must be able to pass and maintain compliance with site-specific Fitness for Duty (FFD) requirements, including drug/alcohol screening and behavioral observation programs.
• Safety Compliance: Deep working knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), confined space entry, and radiation protection safety standards(as applicable).
• Communication: Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional meetings, mediate conflicting priorities between GNF managers, and provide clear, concise briefings to executive leadership.
