NDI Specialist (Fast Jet)

Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia
Contract: 3-Month Rolling Contract (Expected 12–18 Month Duration)
Start Date: ASAP (deployment may take up to 5 months due to visa and mobilisation process)

The Opportunity

Morson Edge is recruiting for an experienced NDI Specialist to join a prestigious military aviation programme based in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the continued airworthiness of the Typhoon fast jet fleet, carrying out scheduled and unscheduled Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) activities in support of frontline aircraft operations.
Working within a highly regulated Part 145 maintenance environment, you’ll ensure all inspection activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the Saudi Arabia SALAM Maintenance Organisation Exposition and Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) activities on Typhoon aircraft
• Perform inspections using approved NDI methods within your certification scope
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, RSAF Technical Orders, and Part 145 requirements
• Maintain accurate electronic maintenance records and documentation
• Support aircraft generation by working closely with engineering and maintenance teams
• Supervise engineering activities when required, ensuring safe working practices are maintained
• Ensure all inspection tasks meet the highest standards of quality and airworthiness
• Investigate defective components and support technical fault resolution
• Ensure correct tooling, equipment, and tool control procedures are followed
• Promote Health, Safety, Environmental (SHE), and quality standards across the work area
• Support effective shift handovers and maintain accurate daily records

Essential Skills & Experience

• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, ONC, OND, BTEC, technical apprenticeship, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification aircraft maintenance experience
• Specialist Level 2 NDI qualification (EN4179, ASNT, PCN or equivalent) in at least four methods: Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Experience working on fast jet aircraft
• Good working knowledge of EASA Part 145 maintenance regulations
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering principles
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a safety-critical, highly regulated aviation environment

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience supporting Typhoon aircraft
• Understanding of RAF and/or RSAF engineering procedures
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Experience delivering workplace training
• Knowledge of ESS or similar electronic reporting systems
• Hold or have previously held 2nd Signature authorisation
• Strong understanding of aerospace quality systems and maintenance processes
