Lead IAM Architect - 6 Months - Inside IR35 - Remote

Lead IAM Technical Architect | Remote (occasional travel to Swindon) | Contract to March 2027 | Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Lead IAM Technical Architect to lead the design of a future-state Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture as part of a strategic transformation programme.

You will assess the current IAM landscape, define a target architecture, identify risks and gaps, and develop a roadmap for delivering modern identity capabilities across the organisation.

Key areas of focus:

• Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
• Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) processes
• Authentication & Access Management (AM)
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Customer & Citizen Identity (CIAM)
• Non-Human / Machine Identity Management
• Identity federation and trust frameworks
• Zero Trust architecture

Essential experience:

• Extensive IAM architecture experience in large, complex environments
• Strong Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) expertise (essential)
• Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management and access governance
• Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, AWS Cognito, IGA and PAM solutions
• Proven ability to design target-state architectures and migration strategies
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical leadership skills
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and least-privilege access models
• Significant IGA architecture experience. Access Management experience alone will not be sufficient.
