Are you an experienced HR generalist looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact?
Im currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing UK business for an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function at a busy operational site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful organisation where youll partner closely with senior leaders, influence people strategy and play a key role in supporting managers across the full employee lifecycle.

Reporting into the Financial Controller and managing an HR Administrator, youll be the go-to HR professional for the business, providing both strategic input and hands-on operational support.

The Role

This is a varied and fast-paced position, ideal for someone who enjoys a true HR generalist role. Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for managers, providing expert advice across all HR and employee relations matters.

• Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, inductions and offboarding.

• Leading on employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, absence management and long-term sickness.

• Coaching and supporting managers to build confidence in handling people matters.

• Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies, procedures and best practice.

• Leading recruitment activity across the business, from vacancy approvals through to offer stage.

• Producing HR reports and management information to support business decision-making.

• Supporting annual salary reviews and Gender Pay Gap reporting.

• Managing HR administration, ensuring employee records and systems remain accurate and compliant.

• Maintaining HRIS and time & attendance systems, ensuring data integrity.

• Supporting learning and development initiatives, including delivering HR-related training to managers.

• Overseeing compliance, audits and employment legislation to ensure best practice is maintained.

• Managing reference requests, exit interviews and employee engagement initiatives.

• Supporting wider business projects and continuous improvement across the HR function.

About You

Were looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships and isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Youll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a standalone HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor position.

• A strong background in operational HR and employee relations.

• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred).

• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.

• Experience supporting managers within a fast-paced commercial environment.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Confident communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience producing HR reports and analysing people data.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

• Experience with HR and time & attendance systems would be advantageous.

• Previous experience supporting pay review processes, Gender Pay Gap reporting or apprenticeship levy administration would be beneficial, although not essential.
